Second eWeeding machine to further support sustainable weed management in the Randstad
VDBH West has put a second eWeeding Roller from Wimmersson into operation. The company took delivery of the first machine one year ago. The new roller will be used for sustainable weed management in several municipalities in the Randstad region.
The machine was unloaded this week in Stolwijk. As with the first delivery, Wilco Boender handled the transport of the eWeeding Roller. Employees of VDBH West immediately received training to work with the machine. The new crew will soon start working independently on weed management in public spaces.
Less fuel and less labour
According to VDBH West, deploying a second eWeeding Roller will immediately reduce the use of fossil fuels and labour. The company aims to work more efficiently while also becoming more sustainable. The eWeeding Roller operates electrically and is equipped with technology from Zasso. The machine is used for chemical-free weed control in public spaces. This aligns with the growing demand from municipalities for alternatives to traditional weed management methods.
