Stadion am Zoo in Wuppertal receives LED lighting |

Stadion am Zoo in Wuppertal will be equipped with new LED lighting. Sportverlichting BV and its German branch Sportbeleuchtung Deutschland GmbH have been commissioned to replace the existing installation with sustainable luminaires from Signify.
The stadium, opened in 1924, is the home ground of Wuppertaler SV and has a capacity of over 23,000 spectators. The venue is located in a green setting next to the zoo and has long been a recognisable sports location in the city.
The new lighting system will be installed in accordance with the standards of both the Bundesliga and UEFA Level B. This will ensure that the stadium meets current requirements for professional and international matches. The switch to LED also contributes to lower energy consumption and a more uniform light level on the pitch.
