Knikmops is growing - in number of countries, in factory size, and in machine dimensions
The Belgian brand Knikmops is growing on multiple fronts. The family-owned company Gebroeders Geens NV, based in Hoogstraten, proudly presents the new Knikmops KM 350 - a more powerful, heavier version of the popular compact articulated loaders the brand is known for. At the same time, the company announces a new factory and is expanding its distribution network in Germany.
KNIKMOPS KM 350
Your editor had the opportunity to visit the factory in Hoogstraten, Belgium, for the introduction of the new KM 350 and immediately saw: the ambitions of the Geens family extend well beyond Belgium and the Netherlands. While Knikmops is mainly known in the Netherlands as a compact paver's machine, many users actually prefer machines under 2 tons for ease of transport. Now, the company is consciously choosing to scale up. The reason is clear: Gebroeders Geens aims to broaden its market and remain competitive, including in sectors such as earthmoving, agriculture, and heavy-duty landscaping.
The Knikmops KM 350 has an operating weight of 3,600 kilograms and a lifting capacity of 3,000 kilograms. Unique to the Knikmops machines is the configuration with four hydraulic motors, safely housed within the chassis. Powered by a 60 hp (44 kW) 4-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine, the machine reaches a top speed of 25 km/h. Marleen and Bert Geens explain that the KM 350 is designed for use in agriculture, landscaping, and urban applications. "We're targeting users who need just a bit more lifting or pushing power," says Marleen Geens. "And with this machine, we've truly delivered on that."

Wheelbase
What stands out immediately on the KM 350 is the wide wheelbase, which, along with the low center of gravity, provides extra stability. Like other Knikmops models, the machine uses four hydraulic motors for its drive system. "That's been our choice for years," says Bert Geens. "The motors are safely tucked inside the chassis, reducing vulnerability during operation. This also contributes to optimal weight distribution and therefore better stability."
The machine is prepared for a telescopic arm, which can be placed between the wheels thanks to the design—resulting in a compact layout without sacrificing lifting power. The four hydraulic motors with two-speed gearing also stand out: the low gear provides more traction and hydraulic power for heavy tasks, while the higher gear enables speeds of up to 25 km/h.
Oscillating rear axle
New in the Knikmops lineup is the oscillating rear axle. It ensures the operator experiences a smoother ride over uneven terrain without the entire chassis moving along. "The oscillation improves driving comfort and safety," says Geens.
The KM 350 is equipped with a working hydraulic system delivering 62 liters per minute at a maximum pressure of 180 bar. Like its smaller siblings, the machine can power various attachments. Thanks to a hydraulic quick coupler, users can swiftly switch between tools. Notable: the KM 350's attachment system is compatible with that of the 250, allowing existing tools to be used without modifications.
A dedicated panel for all daily maintenance
Maintenance convenience
Maintenance convenience is a key design focus. At the rear is a service hatch that allows users to easily carry out daily checks—such as oil and coolant levels and air filter cleaning. "We build machines that are made to last, but that does require proper maintenance. With this design, we've made that easier than ever," says Marleen Geens. The body panels are easy to remove for more in-depth servicing, and as with previous models, the chassis is made of high-quality steel for long life and strong resale value.
Z-kinematics
Finally, the KM 350 features modified Z-kinematics, in contrast to the N-kinematics used on other models. This change, combined with an adjustable steering column and improved ergonomics, enhances driver comfort. With the introduction of the KM 350, Knikmops makes a clear move into the heavier equipment segment. At the same time, the company remains true to its core values: durability, ease of use, and a strong focus on user-friendliness and sustainability. The future seems firmly anchored in Hoogstraten - but with an ever-growing reach beyond Belgium.
Transport hooks on all wheels
It may not be revolutionary, but your editor still finds it worth mentioning. These transport hooks are more or less standard on all Knikmops machines. Bert Geens: "With these hooks, securing is a breeze, and at the end of a busy day, there's no need to crawl under the machine to fasten it."
