GKB Machines has strengthened its global commercial organisation with the appointment of two experienced industry professionals, as the Dutch manufacturer continues a period of sustained growth.
The company has announced that Dougie Archibald has joined as UK & Ireland National Sales Manager, while Anne van Engelen has been appointed Sales Director at GKB's headquarters in Barendrecht, the Netherlands. The appointments are intended to reinforce customer support and dealer relationships as demand for GKB's turf maintenance machinery continues to increase.

Archibald brings more than 30 years of experience in both turf management and machinery sales. Having started his career in grounds maintenance with the Scottish Rugby Union, he later moved into machinery sales roles with manufacturers and dealerships. Most recently, he spent seven years distributing GKB equipment, giving him extensive knowledge of the company's product range and customer base.
Working alongside UK Operations Manager Tom Shinkins, Archibald will focus on supporting dealers and end users across the UK and Ireland. He says his familiarity with the GKB portfolio, particularly its reputation for durability and reliable field performance, will help strengthen the company's local presence and customer service.

Meanwhile, van Engelen takes on the role of Sales Director, bringing more than a decade of international sales and export experience. Raised within his family's New Holland dealership business, he developed an early passion for agricultural machinery and has since worked extensively with overseeding equipment for fine turf and agriculture, as well as specialist mowing solutions.
In his new position, van Engelen will lead GKB's global sales activities, with a focus on dealer development, export growth and brand expansion. He said he is looking forward to returning to the fine turf sector and working with partners around the world to further strengthen the GKB brand. According to GKB, both appointments reflect the company's commitment to investing in its people and supporting long-term growth across international markets.
