Collection made with 76 percent recycled materials to be produced in Dussen

A circular design collection by Studio Wae will now be produced and distributed by Schellevis. The collection consists of approximately 76 percent recycled raw materials sourced from old paving and demolition waste. Through this partnership, the collection will become available on a larger scale for applications in public spaces and private projects.

According to both companies, Studio Wae's design philosophy will remain unchanged, while Schellevis will handle production and distribution from its facility in Dussen. The collection consists of the Cityscape, Box and ParkWae paving concepts, developed for climate-adaptive outdoor environments.

Circular materials for climate-adaptive design

The products are made from recycled materials originating from old paving and demolition projects. This gives existing raw materials a second life in new concrete products. The three paving concepts have been designed for a variety of applications, including public squares, terraces, car parks and other outdoor spaces.
ParkWae has been developed as a grass paver that allows water infiltration while creating space for greenery. Cityscape and Box are primarily intended for urban outdoor environments, with additional attention to drainage and flexible space design.

Partnership aims to expand market reach

Through the partnership, both companies aim to make the collection more widely available to municipalities, designers, landscapers and property developers. The products are available immediately through the Schellevis dealer network and via Studio Wae.
Schellevis CEO Ilan Nir describes the partnership as a combination of sustainability and design quality. 'We believe design and sustainability reinforce each other. This partnership proves that high-quality paving products can be made largely from recycled materials without compromising on quality or appearance.'

International launch

The collection will be presented in September at the GalaBau trade fair in Nuremberg and Green Expo in Ghent. Visitors will be able to explore the different products and the materials used.
Studio Wae founder Tynke van den Heuvel sees the partnership as the next step. 'With Schellevis, the collection has the opportunity to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact on CO₂ reduction and material reuse, while staying true to the original design vision.'
