Sports turf specialist SIS Pitches, headquartered in Zaandam, is making a significant contribution to the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company's technology is being used in nine of the tournament's sixteen stadiums, including the venue hosting the final.

During the tournament, which features 48 national teams, playing conditions are under pressure due to varying climate zones and an intensive match schedule. SIS Pitches supports these conditions with a range of technologies, including the SIS Grass Hybrid system and drainage and aeration solutions. The SIS Grass Hybrid system, which integrates synthetic fibres into natural turf, is being used in stadiums including those in San Francisco, Miami, Toronto and New York/New Jersey. The system is designed to provide a more durable playing surface and consistent playing conditions under different weather conditions and across various grass species.

In addition, the DrainTalent system, developed in the Netherlands, is being used in Guadalajara, Seattle and Vancouver. This system uses vacuum drainage to remove excess water quickly and can also provide subsurface irrigation. In Monterrey, SIS Pitches completed an entire pitch installation in 2025, including hybrid turf, undersoil heating and subsurface aeration. The pitch has also been maintained by SIS Pitches during the regular season.
