Robot mower, front mower and battery chainsaw receive major updates for daily green management
At Living City 2025 in Barcelona, Husqvarna showed how it is expanding its professional line. The manufacturer introduced a new robot mower, an electric front mower and an updated battery chainsaw. The common theme: quieter operation, lower emissions and easier management of large areas.

The Automower 540 EPOS is the latest model in the professional robot series. The mower works fully wire-free and cuts up to 4,000 m² per day, including on uneven ground and slopes up to 50 percent (27 degrees). There are three options for positioning: a 4G cloud connection, the existing RS5 station or the new RS 4G reference station with a range of up to 25 kilometres. The new RS 4G station allows multiple mowers to be managed without a local base station — useful on large or fragmented sites.
New is the AI Vision camera, which recognises people, animals and obstacles and steers the mower around them. This separate module also fits the 560, 580 and 580L models. The 540 EPOS costs € 4,344.21 excl. VAT and will be available in early 2026. The module costs € 473 excl. VAT and is installed by dealers.

FM 410E: electric front mower for daily work
Husqvarna also introduced the FM 410E, a fully electric front mower for professional use. Previously, the company only offered an electric front mower for consumers. The machine runs on lithium-ion batteries with a promised running time of about one working day. Exact battery capacity and charging time have not yet been announced.
The FM 410E works with Fleet Services and requires less maintenance due to fewer moving parts. Snow accessories are available for winter use, although these are less relevant for the Dutch market. It is not yet known which other attachments will follow. Pricing will be announced later. The FM 410E will be available in 2026.

This successor to the earlier consumer model is now aimed at landscapers and site and sports field managers.

New 550i XP battery saw for daily maintenance
Husqvarna is also launching the 550i XP, an updated battery chainsaw for daily work by landscapers, arborists and municipal teams. The manufacturer promises more power, longer operating time and better balance than previous battery saws. The 550i XP fits within the broader move towards electrification of professional tools and is intended for pruning, thinning and lighter felling tasks in urban green areas. It serves as an alternative to traditional 50cc petrol saws, but without emissions and with reduced maintenance.
