The Zwijndrecht-based specialist in sports field lighting Oostendorp Nederland BV is taking the next step in its international growth. With the establishment of Oostendorp Flutlicht Systeme GmbH in Düsseldorf, the company wants to apply its knowledge and experience in sustainable LED sports lighting to the German market as well.
According to director Jan-Willem de Boer, this expansion fits perfectly within Oostendorp's strategy to help make sports facilities across Europe more sustainable. "The energy transition in the sports sector is in full swing, especially in Germany. Municipalities and clubs are working hard to replace conventional field lighting with LED systems. With a local branch, we can serve that market better and offer more personal support to our customers."

In the Netherlands, Oostendorp has long been a trusted name in the world of sports lighting. The company combines technical expertise with a strong focus on quality, energy efficiency, and lighting experience. From advice and lighting design to installation and maintenance, Oostendorp provides complete solutions for sports parks, recreation complexes, and outdoor facilities.
Solid foundation
With Oostendorp Flutlicht Systeme GmbH, a solid foundation is now being laid in Germany as well. The new subsidiary will work closely with sports clubs, municipalities, and consulting firms. "We notice that German customers attach great importance to personal contact and local service," says De Boer. "By being present in Düsseldorf, we can respond faster, guide projects more effectively, and build the trust needed for major sustainability projects."
FSB
The official introduction of the German branch will take place during FSB 2025, the international trade fair for sports and leisure infrastructure held at the end of October in Cologne. Oostendorp will present the latest generation of LED fixtures and smart lighting controls, with special attention to sustainability and ease of use.
With this move, Oostendorp Nederland strengthens its position as an innovative player in sports lighting and as a sustainable partner in European sports infrastructure. De Boer concludes: "We see lighting not just as technology, but as an essential part of the sports experience. Good light makes all the difference — for players, spectators, and the environment."
