The winners of the Green Gala, along with sponsors and editor-in-chief Hein van Iersel, are visiting England this week. The trip is part of the prize awarded to the best field managers and greenkeepers of the past year.
The 2024 award winners—Bas Franssen, Thijs Zandwijk, Raimond Sijmonsma, and Gaëtan Lits—are joined by Monique van Slobbe and Ramon Timmermans from ICL, as well as former Fieldmanager of the Year Peter van Mook of Vos Capelle. Also pictured are two staff members from ICL's UK division.
Golf Course Visit
The group is not only visiting the city of Manchester and the club's iconic training facility but also the West Lancashire Golf Club, a classic English links course located on the coast. The delegation is expected to return to the Netherlands on Thursday evening.
