Domo Sports Grass has developed its own heat recovery system that can be applied under artificial turf sports fields. The name: Domo Thermolayer. "It offers a unique opportunity to efficiently utilize heat that would otherwise be lost," says Bas Reinds, Managing Director Netherlands.
The Domo Thermolayer is an advanced system that extracts heat from artificial turf sports fields. This recovered heat can be used for heating, for example, homes, public buildings, swimming pools, and other facilities. The system is recognized and approved as a sports-technical surface for football fields. Reinds: "This highlights the reliability and effectiveness of this technology."
Reinds sees many benefits of the Domo Thermolayer. First and foremost, sustainability. "The use of recycled building materials, the long lifespan of the Domo Thermolayer, and the fact that no additional work is required when renovating the top layer all contribute to an extremely low CO₂ footprint."
